Pay a koha

Pay a Koha

At Kaitiaki Adventures, we understand that the rising cost of living has placed extra financial pressures on many Kiwi whānau. Our goal has always been to make authentic, culturally rich tourism experiences accessible to as many people as possible, while keeping our prices fair and within reach.

That’s why we’ve introduced our Pay a Koha initiative. Each month, we set aside 30 vouchers for those experiencing financial hardship, giving families the opportunity to enjoy world-class adventures on an affordable basis. Instead of a fixed ticket price, you pay what you can — ensuring that unforgettable experiences remain available to everyone, regardless of circumstance.

We’ve always believed that time in nature, exploring sacred landscapes and connecting with stories of Aotearoa, creates memories that last a lifetime. This programme is our way of sharing those moments with whānau who might otherwise miss out.

If this kaupapa speaks to you, we invite you to write to our CEO and share what it would mean for your whānau to spend a day in some of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most unique and culturally significant places — guided by our incredible team who embody manaakitanga (hospitality) and kaitiakitanga (guardianship).

Whether it’s rafting the Kaituna, sledging at eye level with the awa, or hiking to the summit of Mt Tarawera, our Pay a Koha programme ensures that adventure, culture, and connection are within reach for all.

What an amazing time! We had so much rafting fun, even though at first I was terrified. Will recommend this to everyone.

Such an exhilarating experience. We loved all the waterfalls and rapids, but we always felt safe with an awesome safety crew.
