We’re Kaitiaki Adventures, your hosts for unforgettable journeys in Rotorua. For more than 25 years, we’ve been guiding manuhiri (visitors) through some of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most breathtaking landscapes. Our team is made up of passionate guides who live and breathe adventure.
We specialise in three experiences that showcase the very best of Rotorua.
Rafting on the Kaituna River, home to the world-famous 7-metre Tutea Falls; the highest commercially rafted waterfall on earth.
White water sledging, where you ride rapids face-first on a board, feeling the awa (river) at eye level. Hiking Mt Tarawera, a sacred maunga (mountain) known for its dramatic 1886 eruption and sweeping volcanic craters. Each journey blends adrenaline, stunning scenery, and the unique cultural stories of the land.
